Apr 7 Feb & March 2019 Recap

Well I have taken quite the blog break...to be honest the last two months have been a rollercoaster. In February we got to go home & visit my grandparents & celebrate my grandfather’s 85th birthday. That was such a blessing, & beautiful weekend. We don’t get all to be together often so it was just a real treat. I will take any & all time I can get with my Pop Pop. The rest of the month was filled with work, & photo shoots which were fun!

March was insane. I had 5 weddings, an event with the Junior League of Tuscaloosa I was in charge of & just life to get through. In February we took a little break from reviewing potential birth mother profiles. We needed a break--our minds, and hearts needed a rest. In March, we came back in FULL FORCE. We presented our profile 4 times between March 1st-16th. All nos. We haven’t seen a profile since. There are probably lots of reasons why & our adoption consultant has been amazing through this. I really felt like it was happening soon. Now, I just don’t know but I know it will. I feel a little guarded right now but I am trying to lean into the vulnerability that this is putting us in. We found our Church home & joined Trinity Presbyterian Church. We have made great connections there & it is such a blessing. Our best friends, Robin & Jarrod, welcomed baby Emily to their family & she is just precious. The Campbell girls are loved so by Aunt Ash & Uncle Lee. After my one million events in March, we ran away to the beach for a few days. I don’t think I knew how much my mind & body needed it. So that’s what has been happening in the Stork house-- a ton of work, a little fun, alot of waiting.
